Hong Kong Identity Card

Hong Kong Identity Cards are compulsory for all adults and children over the age of 11 years. Any person who arrives in the territory and stays for more than 180 days must obtain a Hong Kong Identity Card.
Obtaining an ID Card is a lengthy procedure and requires each eligible member to register in person within 30 days of arrival in Hong Kong. Half day is needed for the initial visit.

Hong Kong Driving License
Hong Kong Driving License are obtainable by persons over 18 years of age and possessing a valid driving license from another country. Application forms are available from licensing offices.

Pets
Many people in Hong Kong keep pets despite of the cramped living conditions. You can buy a pet in the pet shops or you can acquire a pet from the RSPCA (Tel : 2523 3944) which always looks for good homes for the healthy abandoned animals.
If you choose to import your pet from aboard, you need to obtain a special permit from the Agriculture and Fisheries Department. Besides, quarantine of pets will be assessed upon their arrival.
